SOLD: 1966 1967 Fender Musicmaster II
SOLD
Up for sale is my all-original vintage Fender Musicmaster II. This guitar was sold to me as a 1967, but the pot codes date to 1966. The handwritten date on the back of the original pickup also reads '66. At either rate, this is the longer scale version of the Musicmaster series. There is some beautiful natural checking in the finish as well as some minor signs of wear, but it is great shape for an almost 50-year-old guitar. The original pots are really smooth, low-friction, and work great. It plays very nicely and sounds really crisp as a vintage Fender should.
It comes with a period correct Fender case, which may or may not be original to the guitar, but it is in excellent condition and fits beautifully. It may have been for a late sixties strat or other Fender as I think the Musicmaster cases were not all black as this one is.
For the money, this is a great way to get into a vintage Fender.
