• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

I never chime in on this type of thread but I had to this time. That is a gorgeous guitar! Right out of the Beauty of the Burst book. Congrats...

Check out this G0 with subtle flame. It's an '06 model. Burstbuckers sound great through a Marshall. Love the '60s neck too.

that looks more like an R8 from 01-02 with the color of the top, inlays and control knobs. whered that picture come from

jcourtjr, I took that picture in my backyard, phil47UK, tone report, I am not good at describing tone, but I know what I like, and I like the tone of this G0 It gives a thick full sound on high gain setting, and when I go to a clean channel and roll down the volume it's really sweet, and you would love the slim taper neck. jcourtjr, It does look like an '01-'02 R8, however the official color designation my GO is honeyburst. It does resemble the butterscotch Les Pauls of '01-'02, but it is a honeyburst, and the trapazoid inlays on the G0 are darker with sharper corners than the inlays on an '01-'02 R8. Thanks for the replies all, it's great to chat with you about our beloved Les Pauls.

It seems pretty shiny in the one pic. Is it that way? I thought all the GO's had the dull or VOS finish. Very nice guitar.

It came with the dull finish. I don't know for sure if it is a Custom Authentic finish or VOS.

I have wondered this as well as mine did not have the junk all over it that I hear people talking about with the VOS line although mine had a VOS tag on it (it also had a bumblebee caps tag but no bees in it, so there you go!). All I know is the finish on mine is not soft like all the BS I hear about the VOS finishes being soft, and the maple is the hardest frickin maple I have ever had on any LP. My hardware was pretty darn aged including screws and all plastic, so I am thinking it may be CA.

On a side note, have you seen the R0 (really a G0 - check the serial #) on Gruhn's website for $3,700+? WTF is up with that price?!!! :wah

Wow nice piece of wood. Is Guitar Center making these with flame now or are you just a lucky bastardo?
