• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

This is a Germino Lead 55 LV (Lo Voltage) model from 2010. Cab is loaded with G12M Heritage Greenbacks. The amp is based on a classic "Plexi" 1987 circuit but has the option of running a tube or SS rectifier. It also has a PPIMV. I tend to plug straight in the amp top left input and run that volume control between 1:00 and 3:00 on the dial. Even though I am not plugged into the other channel, I run that volume at the 1:00 position. It does change the tone slightly.

Rest of the controls are pretty much set between 10:00-2:00 depending on mood, volume, playing at home, versus live. Sometimes crank the mids, sometimes run the presence at max and the treble off. All kinds of cool tones to be had.

The PPIMV (post phase inverter master volume) is on the back of the amp. I pretty much run that between 11:00-1:00 for gigs.

With the right guitar and electronics, this amp has beautiful cleans, to crunch, to singing leads that are forward and present without being harsh.

NICE amp!

I have the Club 40 and absolutely love it. It is groundshaking I have thought about sending it to Greg for the PPI MV mod. IDK.
It has greenbacks and the rectifier switch as well.

I will tell you your amp is worth spending on a NOS or good testing old Mullard for V1. It took my amp over the edge.

Greg makes about the best plexi replica out there IMO. Just stellar.

Congrats on the amp!
