A couple weeks ago I picked up this super cool looking guitar I named Mojo Machine! Here’s what I think I know, the neck is from a 1963 Gibson Melody Maker, the volume and tone pots are from 1964. The autographs are from Steve Gadds and Eric Clapton. What I would love to know is where the body and electronics came from. I’m thinking maybe an Epiphone or a Japanese body and electronics. I have seen a pick guard like this one and the pickup config is weird. Also notice there is no selector switch. Any insight would be much appreciated!

That is weird to the max....
A Gibson Melody Maker neck, grafted to a ?????? body. |I highly doubt it's Gibson, or even Epiphone.
I think you're pretty spot on with the idea of a Japanese body and electronics. Hard to even tell what's going on with the electronics- that one wire with teh red hanging off is weird. Guessing it's been cobbled together from somewhere - that soldering isn't from any factory anywhere.
But if it plays and sounds good, you win.

It’s absolutely a gibson neck based on the serial numbers, shape, and my experience. After that, I’m not sure other than the date of the pots
