• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

Welllll---

The DC Pro. Newer ones are REAL Les Pauls with 22 frets and with the same girth as the single cuts (the ones from 1998/1999 are chambered and have 24 frets).

I like the 1998 one I have. It plays great. Sounds great. 24 frets==a bit more flexiibility, but missing some tone variation because the rhythm pickup is further back.

Welll I went to Guitar Center with a friend to help him pick out a nice BREEDLOVE acoustic. On the way out I saw a couple of the very newest DC Pros.

They NOW have TWO volume controls and one tone control (as opposed to even last year when they had only one tone and one volume.

Trying hard to stay away from it. Wow.

Those are the gc doublecut exclusives, they have an offset lower horn as well. If you search you should find a recent thread all about them.

You saw the GC exclusives. They are not lp dc pro guitars. I believe the dc pro is probably way chambered. I'm considering the GC version though I don't like buying from GC.

Loving mine. Threw some marshallheads in it and dang, very nice axe! Gibson should market this better, as should GC.

had my DC Pro for 3 months now and love it to pieces - the weight is easy on these old bones and the feel/action seem to fit me like a glove. This has that nice LP roar without getting muddy - it's nice & articulate.
I love the Single Tone & Volume controls - I have all my gibsons rewired for single volume control. I may have the Tone control changed to a Push-Pull Phase control to give me a little more brightness when needed.
All in all this is a Fabulous Axe

I was throwing some caretakers in the GC-LP-DC last night and noticed that it has LPGC hand written in the bridge pickup space. For the record, going back to marshallheads. Still my favorite pickup. Not sure how many of these axes that gibson will make, but I want a second one. Want to see what the vintage sunburst and the tv yellow look like.
