All of the Les Pauls made from 75-77 have those prefix. They do not mean ltd ed.

That's interesting. I know that I haven't seen a gold serial # on those models myself. Definitely would have remembered that!

I was a really young dude back then. Just beginning this lifelong guitar dork lifestyle. šŸ˜²šŸ¤˜

I guess he worded it sorta backwards. All guitars with a "99, 00 or 06" are 75 - 77. There are other serials as well in those years, model dependent from what I understand.

The 76 appears to have a mahogany neck? Something I've not seen before as they were maple with mostly one piece body. I've never seen an impressed 76 serial, I don't recall any table for 76 as I thought the prior duplicate numbers ended in 75? Of course 77 was the beginning of the new impressed 8 digit serial so it is expected to see them as the change happend later in the year. Prior they used the 06 prefix decal. I've not seen older six digit serial# in those years, but they may exit in much rarer numbers.
See my question under 76 pic above.

1975 deluxe

On most 75's gibson had the gold serials. In 1976 a few, but definitively in 1977 most guitars have non "06"xxxxxx serial, altought there are, a few, 1977 gold serials

Interesting

these are deluxe standard, do you rememebr guys, the era when the some deluxes shipped from fab with standard humbukers

My guess is that from 1976 or 1977 those Limited Editions are the Deluxe LPs with Standard Humbuckers probably T-Tops, but not sure

As far as I know, there were no Deluxes shipped with full-sized humbuckers. They were all shipped with the small Epi 'buckers. Many were later routed at local dealers for full sized humbuckers at the request of owners. If Gibson place full-sized humbuckers on an LP they called it a "Standard," first with the special-order ones in Kalamazoo from 1973-1975, and then with the official "Standard" model in Nashville. The Kalamazoo special-order Standards had a truss rod cover with a small-script "Standard" legend on them. Seems a bit timid, no?

Compare to the script on the Nashville Standards from 1976 on:

What I gathered from your post is that all LP between 75 - 77 have the 99,00,06 prefix. As shown, some have other prefixes. But all 99,00,06 prefixes are between 75 - 77. Is that correct?
That is what I was getting at.

75 and 77 were transition years and you`ll find 75`s with stamped serial #`s and but most with
a decal. Same with 77.
