• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

Half of one of the best song writing teams of all-time. Maybe he was "too fast to live, but too young to die... bye-bye" RIP Glenn Frey - the world is a little sadder now that you're no longer in it. This really sucks and is not how I had hoped 2016 would be starting off. Glenn was an amazing talent and wrote/sang some of the greatest songs of the last 50 years. The Eagles have been a big part of my musical life from my youth until now. My prayer is that Glenn can now Take It Easy in eternity.

An often overlooked classic from Glenn (co-written with Don Henleyy - these two made one of the great songwriting partnerships ever). I guess tomorrow finally came for Glenn Frey and now he's "glory bound"...

Glenn won a video music award for this video/song, which is almost like an entire film in itself. Glenn also played some mean slide guitar on this one...

This has to be one of the best "story telling" songs of all-time...

And some other great memories of his amazing talent...

And one of the greatest examples of harmony singing EVER!!!!

The news hit me like a truck. The first music book I bought when I started to play guitar was an Eagles book.

Years ago I saw an awesome video from a Japanese TV show when the Eagles were touring Japan after their 2nd or 3rd album - Glen was a total badass gunslinging rock and roller! :dude::dude::dude:

Extremely sad news indeed. RIP Glenn Frey you are an inspiration for many guitarist and musicians including me.

Can't believe this year so far, first David Bowie then Alan Rickman and now Glenn Frey, a very sad month indeed :(

Glenn's passing really caught me by surprise. I hadn't even heard that he was ill. Like others have stated, the Eagles music helped define a portion of music that became a part of our lives. So many great songs with excellent harmonies. I'm starting to feel a lot older these days.
