• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

Goodbye Eric aka PatentAppliedFor

No way. I am definitely saddened to hear this. He was a good soul and I've had the opportunity to exchange communications with him one on one. Either I bought some parts from him or vice versa. He was genuinely a nice guy. My condolences to his family and friends.

Kinda funny that most of my favourite forum memories of Eric are not really LP oriented... He really seemed to be enjoying his life: Food & drink, fishing, sunsets, football, music... And of course, I always appreciated his enthusiasm for superstrats & shred guitars... RIP :dang

not pointy, more stratty, but shreddy nonetheless

My first "shred" guitar was an '83 Kramer Pacer, Floyd Rose was doing the actual Floyd setup work at Seattle Music at the time so that was kinda cool

Regret selling it, was a great guitar - looked like this except for the pup wasn't offset :

Here's the actual guitar onstage in the 80s, shitty pic, I'll try and find some more =)

I had an A-10 for a while back in the 80s too =)

lol found a pic - probably like 82?

I don't spend as much time here as I used to but when I did he sure seemed like a solid dude.

RIP, Eric.

To Eric,

I thought you were a righteous guy from what little I knew of you.

You will be missed.

But I reckon you have better company where you're at now.

I'm still working on finding a place to have Eric's wake. I know Eric wasn't a "funeral" kind of guy. I am trying to get the Eagles in Gig Harbor so we can have some live music but haven't heard back yet. I will post as soon as I know. For now it is looking like the Saturday April 4th so keep tuned in.
Today
Having Eric's wake at the Eagles club on Apr. 4th at 4 til the cows come home. They will have food and a no host bar (you have to sign in....hope it's a big piece of paper...they make some good drinks) It's right next to the hi iu hee hee. If you want to play music ...bring your equipment. They have a huge stage and dance floor. PM me for info. Hope to see you all next Saturday.
