Yeah, it takes P90s well.I had one and enjoyed it. Mine went from zero to surprisingly loud between one and two. It was great with a junior. Great find.
Wow. Those were the days when a brown panel Fender amp was just a used amp.My favorite amp !!! My cool Dad bought me one, used in may of 1968 for $40 !!!!! I used it everyday until 1978 with every kind of old guitar, Blackguard teles, original Bursts,Goldtops, and it made them all sound great !!! i've had other ones over the years but that one was the coolest !!! Congratulations on your amp,it looks great !!!
Congrats!I've recently acquired this little friend. 1962 Deluxe.
Been searching for att least a decade. They are not easy to find in Europe. Took me a while to find one at a reasonable price.View attachment 26479
Yes, this will be one of the keepers.I've owned two of these. They are both the "I wish I had never sold it" amps. Congrats, and learn from my mistake, make this a forever amp, they are that great!

Congrats!
I prefer these over the Tweeds and Black-faced versions.
Turn it up loud (8+) and do the rest from the guitar's controls.
Why not with the tweeds?Best advice with any amp (except tweed Fenders).
Some think so. I no longer do.Why not with the tweeds?
Should they be turned up to 10?
Thanks. With a Tweed they defo sound better around 3/4 on volume as move volume it chokes out. Brown Deluxe is lovley amp.. congrats. Im sniffing round one, I plugged my strat straight in and turned up to about 7 and it was gig ready..
