• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

Grabbed another DC Jr. copy/replica

Very cool, congrats, enjoy in good health.

1-piece? Also, very straight grain, do you know the specific species of mahogany?

Enjoy... 🍑

yeah, the cherry DC is a 1 piece African 'hog aka Khaya body but I'm not sure about the brown sunburst one.
Will find out if 2 piece body or 1 piece after it arrives but it will also be Khaya.

Weird thing about the cherry one is the pickup sounds really HOT like George Lynch tones on the 1987 Dokken album 'Back for the Attack' which is my favorite Dokken album. This P-90 type is insanely HOT straight into the amp; amazing stuff. :D

Love those units!

I too love the slabs.

Collings plays excellently in this space as well.

yep; a simple 'hog slab is really an animal unto itself and is hard to beat for a true weapon of choice for 'rock and roll' carnage :D

my favorite slab of 'hog so far is this (truly custom/no logo/no serial #) LP Special version that was originally equipped with a ABR-1 type and a Bigsby.
I have since converted it to the appropriate 'wrap tail' beast that it should have been from the beginning
This is my most favorite LP Spc. of about 10 I have owned; a pure beast it is. (y)
