• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

Got up
Took a leak- in the toilet- TYVM
Got a hug from SWMBO (she who must be obeyed)
Gave some recognition
Fingers tingle some but they largely go where I want them
There was food in the house- incl coffee
Have a job
Both my sons will be home to visit this weekend
Picked up a LP and got thru the solo to Piece of My Heart- it sounded erratic like the original
Glad we are basically all safe
Lots more- what have you got- and don't be shy

Not yet a corpse...
Oh, wait!

Grace and gratitude for all the good.

I have a beautiful, loving, devoted wife of forty-two years, the wife of my youth.
I have a loyal dog.
My family is healthy.
I have a job I love.
There is food on the table.
I have a roof over my head and air conditioning/heat.
My mortgage is paid off.
I have the guitars I dreamed of.

These are the things I am grateful for.

Can smell the roses each day, the family's all fit and well and I'm still in one piece, the band's got a gig on Saturday night and the weather's great right now as we head into winter, pretty sure I'm looked after from above, no worries mate.

I'm grateful to be going to the North West Guitar Show with my Lady on Sunday.

I'm especially grateful to have my Lady to take.

I am picking out a Thermos for you

The ashtray, the remote control, the paddle game, this magazine and the chair...I don't need one other thing, except my dog (...) I don't need my dog.

All you need is ... love.

There's nothing you can know that isn't known
Nothing you can see that isn't shown
There's nowhere you can be that isn't where you're meant to be
It's easy
All you need is love
All you need is love
All you need is love, love
Love is all you need

Last year, through the greatest of luck, I managed to cross paths with an amazing woman.

We all go through the journey of life to get where we are. I'm guessing that we needed to wait for the right time in our lives to meet but I do wish we could have started our journey earlier.

I am grateful and happy.

Oh yeah.

My favourite post of the week.

I'm good man. Pretty much. Done got old and arthritis is taking a toll on my poor old fingers playing guitar but that's ok. An open A chord still sounds the same as it always did. Good enough for me! šŸ˜Ž

I'd like to shorten my op here and sum up by saying: Life's a beautiful thing and each day is a new adventure in whatever this is.

Positive stuff like this is good for my soul, and for all of us. My personal life is a bit of a mess, nobody's fault but mine, I suppose. But I'm healthy, I have a good job and I am appreciated at work. I have enough stashed away to retire comfortably in a year or two. I have a fantastic wood shop to build whatever my heart desires, I have a guitar collection that is beyond what I ever thought I would have. (No bursts, but I have accepted that, LOL). My life isn't perfect, but I am better off than most, and for that I am very thankful.
