Hi all,

I found a 1989 Chet Atkins Country Gentleman today that a friend is asking $800 for.

It has a lot of wear on the gold, the case is beat up, and there are a couple nicks in the guitar. It's very dirty. But I think it will clean up pretty nicely.

Is this a good price? The guitar feels pretty good. How do these comapre to an ES-335 or a Birdland?

Thanks!

Buy it now! They are great guitars! I bought an '87 for $1,000 with a cracked neck. It took another $300 or so to fix the neck(at the headstock), but now I have a great guitar that is VERY versatile. I think they are between $2500 and $3000 new, so this would be a great deal for you.

Hey,

A buddy of mine has one of those. When I saw it, I thought that he was going to play some Hank Williams for me. Instead he broke into Back in Black. I couldn't believe how good that thing sounded. Those guitars just flat out rock! Oh, and Hank songs sound pretty good on them too. The only thing that seems a little different on those guitars is that lower arm rest. But, they do come off quite easily.
