• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

Trying to figure out how to post pics here using my smart phone.…
GRRRRRRR.......

Anyway, I have owned many Guild guitars over the years. I picked up another Bluesbird at Austin Vintage back in December.
Always liked these guitars, the chambering and what not.
Les Paul-ish but still their own thing.

I have an unreasonable attraction to natural (or nearly so) finishes on wood, and this guitar really jumped out at me.
I love the nickel or chrome hardware over a natural finish.

It pushed me over the edge, and I decided to do the same to my natural Custom.
All the gloss nickel parts have been ordered.

If that is what you like and it gives you pleasure, than I think it is great! Do your own thing and make it yours. Sounds cool to me.

Right on, Big Al!
I've never liked gold hardware.
Ever.
I simply tolerate it where the consensus deems it appropriate.

I have a '57 Reissue Black Beauty that I picked up a decade ago, 3 pickups and a Bigsby and all that.
At the risk of offending the masses here, I gotta tell you it's the most gaudy and ostentatious guitar I've ever owned.
Wonderful guitar, sublime low frets, killer tones, but... Ugh!

I've even been tempted to do a nickel hardware swap on that one, but I've resisted the urge so far,

OK, so here's one for anyone out there with a quick, easy answer:
I perused a few areas of the forum here and I read through a thread from a few years back about posting pics in the forum.
In 2021, some things seem to remain the same.
What am I missing?

I click on the icon to "Insert image" here in the text box toolbar and a box pops up for a web address.
How do simply BROWSE my own computer and insert my own pic?

Thank you in advance to anyone with a ready solution.
