I just picked up my first Les Paul 2020 Blood moon and I had it on the stand at church between sets and never noticed until later the damage it left. It's not horrible just looks like a residue. but i know its there. I can send pics if anyone needs to see i just don't know how to up load it here. Bellow pick is just for reference.

I have been searching the web for some answers. who has had luck getting rid of these marks. the guitar is a satin finish. Any one with some idea on how to remove the marks will be a big help!!

It's the type of rubber used on the stand reacting with the nitro lacquer.
Either change the rubber/stand for NON-nitrile-based rubber or cover the rubber with something like cotton socks, dusters or similar.

Ok i was able to get a picture of the damage. Hope this helps. I know the stand caused this. That stand is history. Just need to figure out how to fix this. its very light and you can only see it when ou shine the light on it.

Yep, that's hanger rash. The top coat has reacted with the rubber from the guitar stand.
Does it feel sticky?
You might be able to get rid of it with a clean microfiber cloth if it's not too deep.

No it doesn't feel sticky at all. I tried to whipe it with microfiber but nothing. As I said it's hard to see unless I put a light on it but it's there and I know it's there.

That is fast for a reaction like that in my mind- but it's there. Try Naptha- or a trip to a guitar finisher- they have their sorcery.
But the best suggest is to ignore it.
My cat was chasing a ball and jumped from the stairs onto the top of my R9 leaving nail marks in the finish.
Left eye twitched for a day or so and now I chalk it up to character.

I guess at the end of the day cosmetics really don't matter. I buy guitars to play them not swoon over how perfect they look. I am not selling it and I have been playing the shit out of it so the tone is all that matters. We live and learn I have so many guitars with blemishes and dings over the years. I guess I just wanted this one to last a bit longer before something like this happened. lol

You’ve been lucky to walk away with so little damage.
I ruined the back of a 335 years ago, by laying it on top of a coiled guitar cable that I left in its case. Only took a few days for the rubber to eat THROUGH the finish… oh well, live and learn!

That sucks!!!! Yeah, live and learn. What I started to do now to just ignore it is play the guitar every night after dinner. I just focus on the playing and the tine and try to forget what I can't see anyway lol. I will eventually try to fix it, but I need to relax about it first :D Also I picked up a new Hercules Stand and my guitar is happy.
