• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

Help with amplitube/laptop help I guess?

does anyone know how to mute the microphone on a laptop? for some reason it stays on when I plug in my audio interface and when I start amplitube I get a horrible feedback loop.

I tried disabling it the microphone array from device manager, but then that disables my interface as well.

EDIT: Dell E7240 on Windows 10

Open device manager

Expand the list of audio ins/outs

Disable your microphone

It's been a while since I've used a PC but I believe this is how it's done. Good luck!

I know you didn’t just post a topic about software amps ‘round here!? Kidding of course! They’ve gotten surprisingly good over the years. I find myself using software regularly. For convenience they trump my tube amps. Can’t crank a Marshall through a 4x12 at 3:00 am.

Pretty sure amp360 has you pointed in the right direction.
