• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

Holy Batmobile!

If it was a converted GTO, they musta done a SHITPILE of mods to it ...
or it was a fake ...
because the original was NOT a GTO! :ganz

The "Monkeemobile" was a GTO.
The Batmobile was an Italian made Lincoln prototype that never made it to production.

One of the originals (I believe there were three) went for 'pocket change' at auction when the Daytona auto museum shut down two years ago...something under $30k

Lots of people 'looked', but when confronted with the reality of actually owning the damn thing, everybody realized it wouldn't fit in their garage...and is pretty tasteless after all.

Many moons ago I was at the Long Beach Grand Prix
And the (one of the) originals were there With George Barris.
I was fortunate enough to sit in the Caped Crusaders mobile throne
My ass has never been the same :applaude

At one time it was on display in the antique car show at the Imperial Palace in Biloxi, MS.

There were a lot of really interesting rides in that room (Al Capone's bulletproof limo, various over-the-top cars owned by celebrities, etc.), but the Batmobile stole the show.
