• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

How 'bout a LPF Vintage Les Paul Calendar?

I agree wholeheartedly! But I'm guessing there will be a book at some point, so I'm not sure that he would want to use some of those great pics for the calendar...and I can't say that I'd blame him. But quite frankly, a LPF calendar without his pics wouldn't me much of a LPF calendar, if you ask me. :)

I understand that First Class would be a lot less expensive. But I don't think that Paypal allows me to ship via First Class Mail directly from their website, but I'm not certain of that (if someone knows otherwise, please enlighten me). And the main reason I like using Paypal is the click and ship function where I don't have to do any manual entry of the shipping address. This is especially important to me because I find many international addresses to be very confusing when I try to enter them into the USPS website manually. If someone else has more experience doing that than I, they're welcome to take on international shipments. But unless it's an automatic, no-brainer for me, then I don't want the extra work, responsibility or worries associated with it. I hope you understand.

Sure do Frank, it really does seem like a lot of work, and who needs that headache?? ...and all because I wanted to look at "Miss July"....:hee :peace2

Guys,

I passed on Talonmm's generous offer because, just being honest, selling and shipping LPF swag is a pain in the ass, and makes us VERY little, if any, money after all is said and done.

Just being real.:jim

To add to Charlie's note -- he has put a ton of time and effort into ordering shirts and cups, and he and his better half have dealt with all of the Paypal, packing and shipping issues. I really want to acknowledge them for a job well done. :salude It is a lot of work, and there is very little margin in it for the LPF.

Also, you wouldn't believe some of the angry/demanding notes we get from folks who wonder why their merchandise hasn't arrived two days after the order! :##

We love this place, and will do everything we can to promote it and pay the bills - but selling merchandise is a challenge, to put it mildly. Thanks for your understanding. :jim

I, too, was quite appreciative of my T-shirt when it arrived. That turned to disappointment when I put the shirt on, and figured out that it did nothing to make me play better.

I'm also an Alembic owner and member over at the Alembic Club. Their coffee mugs with the Featured Custom guitars/basses were available through Cafe Press. I'm not sure how it works, but has anyone ever looked into having all the swag done through a company like like? That way no one has to worry about taking/shipping orders. Just a thought. :salude

you don't need anything too fancy. You can use Walgreens online calendar builder and use submitted images that members can send to one of the owners or members here. From there, a representative could build the calendar and save it the settings on their website on a password and account known only to the LPF staff. The money is sent by PP to that person or to Charlie etc, the calendar is then sent for print to a Walgreens near the recipient so there is no shipping cost....just has to be picked up. The payment will be made online when the calendar is sent for printing.
