How do I remove the plastic Gibson logo from a ‘58 reissue flying V?

I’m trying to do some touch up on a headstock break and this is the first time dealing with the plastic logo. How is it attached? What’s the graceful way to remove and reattach?

Thanks.

I don't know, but an interesting anecdote: Andy Powell of Wishbone Ash has had many Flying Vs. His main squeeze for years was a 1967 V reissue that he still uses when playing in New England where he lives but he owned '58s as well. Somewhere in the 1990s he had the '67 rebuilt after years on the road. For fun, he had the luthier put a spare logo from a '58 on his '67. I saw him during that period and actually asked him about the guitar and the anomalies it represents. Sometime along the way he had a pair of old PAFs installed with the pickup rings. He eventually had the '58 logo removed.

The original logos were attached by three plastic pins that protrude from the underside of the logo. One each under the 'G', 'S' and the 'N'. They aren't quite in a straight line nor equally spaced apart. The pins are rather delicate and prying the logo off requires some real care.

I accidently pulled mine halfway off when I was restringing it and the string got caught on it. I almost had a heart attack. If you take some dental floss and work it under the logo you can gently pull it off. It's not glued down. Be careful not to snap it in half
