• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

How do I submit a custom order through the Gibson Custom Shop?

Call the Music Zoo.
Place order.
Wait.
Wait.
Music Zoo calls you and says "Your guitar has arrived."
Wait.
Receive guitar from Music Zoo.
Pretty simple and the hardest part is the waiting , but good things comes to those that wait .

So I don't need to fill out a physical order form and give it to the Music Zoo?

The Music Zoo will just take my list of specs over the phone, and then they'll send my order over to the CS?

Hey guys.

All I want to order through the CS is a Les Paul Axcess Custom with a Floyd Rose locking tremolo. But I want my LP Axcess Custom to be in a pelham blue finish.

The ebony LP Axcess Custom shown on the Gibson website would be my base model.

All of the specs would entirely be the same as that model.

The ONLY thing I wish to modify is the color of the finish.

Would the CS be able to make my dream LP become a reality?

Would you like one of us to call Gibson for you?

Well, I have one concern when I contact The Music Zoo.

Will I have lay out ALL the specs, or can I merely tell the dealer "Use the LP Axcess Custom from the Gibson website and just change the finish color"?

I called Wildwood and gave them my specs. They were careful to document those specs in an email back and included a price, I then accepted the price and made a deposit via credit card. Wildwood returned an order number from Gibson for verification. Now I wait. No problems. Your order sounds simple (and cool). Good luck!

I have just a few final questions:

After you accepted the quote, did you simply email Wildwood your credit card info?

Will Wildwood return your deposit once the CS completes your order?

Probably a little safer to phone your credit card # in with hackers and all…the deposit would be applied to the purchase price.

if you’re already paying extra for the color I would also include a weight preference range

Dude!

When CS completes your order Wildwood will call you back to get the rest of the money not covered by the deposit!

Have you EVER ordered ANYTHING before?

Like a car, boat, beer???

Of course you can use the LP Axcess Custom specs as that just makes it that much easier to craft with only the finish being changed . So easy !!!!!!

Get ready for a LONG wait, my Custom Shop order has been 1 year (that what I was told to expect originally) and dealer contacted Gibson, it's going to be another 6 to 8 weeks....sigh....
