• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

How much is the Sunburst LP in the window?

Don't you miss the days when dealers displayed their best guitars in the front window?
I took this picture in the late 70's (I think!)
Manhattan, NY. 48th Street .'We buy Guitars'

Yes well we didn't know WHAT was reasonably priced down here in godzone, while all and sundry were having a food fight overseas(metaphorically speaking) we were starving!!

Am I reading the tag on the burst right is that $45k? or 15k.

What's that, $8K for the '61(?) Custom? Someone here's gotta have the chart for that 'burst's "ballpark" price and/or timeframe for the photo. :hmm

I used to take the subway after school and hang in front of that window. Bought my 57 strat there. The LP's were too expensive for me then (and now).

I spot 3 Byrdlands(!) and they all appear to be leaning against the wall:wah

No they're hanging on hooks by wire attached to the tuners.

In '75, I bought my first vintage Les Paul out of that window. I paid $600 for a '56 Goldtop of Mr. Friedman. :headbange

It's not an easy answer for a variety of reasons, but my guess is late 80's, possibly 1990. :)

I remember looking into that window and seeing the Korina Explorer bass, that came out of the Indiana, Ohio area. Probably about 1979 or 1980 something.
