I’m considering selling or trading my 2018 Brazilian

Hi, I have a Brazilian played a little out. How is the best way to sell it? I see them on Reverb for 10 grand, they never sell at that price. I’d almost prefer a trade for a Murphy aged. It’s too nice to play out with. Let me know the best way to sell it. It’s the one on the right. Thanks Don

Don, you can post it for free in our Classifieds.

And if someone pays you in advance, no harm in shipping if you pack it well and go overnight shipping if you're really paranoid.

I could be wrong, but I'm not sure you'll get many bites at $10k. Asking prices these days are quite crazy.

Thanks Mike, I’m not thinking it’s get 10K, it will maybe sell for what I paid for it. I paid $8500 for it. I’m not really paranoid, just out of buy/sell for some years. I’d rather trade for a nice lightly aged Murphy, I don’t want to play this one out. I’ll modify me post if I still can and remove 10k, don’t want to turn people off.

Thanks again for your input. Don P

Mike, why can’t I post pictures from my Mac to the listing I made? Don’t you allow pictures for stuff being sold?

Don, you have to post the photo using the little icon that looks like a landscape. If you took photos from your iPhone they are probably too large in terms of pixels and you’ll have to edit and reduce their size.

Just insure it and play it. If it gets damaged or stolen
, collect the cash and get another one

I’ve been looking at 2018 Brazilian’s and am curious what is a fair price? I hate to buy a guitar and immediately feel like I couldn’t get my money back if I had to sell. So what does everyone think a fair price is considering guitar sales in general seem to be on a down slope? Thanks!

I’m debating what to do now but leaning on trading or selling to get an aged Murphy. These Brazilians are real nice and beating them up degrades the value. I’m 74 and still playing out and want something that can take the abuse on tight stages etc.

You might find an older Reissue e.g. VOS at a better value then beat it up yourself, no worries.
