• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

I've got a Marshall amp that needs to be looked at by a qualified tech in the Boston Mass. area, any recommendations?

The only one I know for sure is Providence Music Service in Pawtucket RI...a hike, sure, but he's pretty good. There used to be a couple guys in Milford but I think they both went bust...
One of these days I'm gonna have to get there myself...gots a couple that could use some looking at.

You could try Rock City Guitars in Somerville. I haven't used their services myself but I saw that they did quite a bit of repair business last time I was in there.

Anyone ever heard of Daddy's Junky Music? They're pretty close but I don't know if they know their stuff or not.

Hear, hear, there's a reason they're clled Daddy's JUNKY Music.
I went into one of their stores once when I was in college, the guy behind
the counter hardly looked up, his greeting was "Trying or buying?"
I said, "neither" turned around and walked out. I may possibly have bought if I found something interesting, but to be asked that on the way in? Come on.

I really don't want to ship it. I can't believe more techs aren't in the Boston area. Anyone else have any ideas?
