Since someone mentioned Ibanez pedals in the MXR thread, figured it may be a good topic! I remember someone posted a pretty sick collection of 808's a while back. Here are the Ibanez pedals I still have left (I used to have a lot more if you can believe it). :wail

Nice Stash!

I see you have the 9 series Auto Filter. I had an 808 series AF, mint in the box with paper that I bought for $26. I eventually sold it to European collector that nagged me for months.

I still have the only one that matters --- TS-808..:dude

I passed on a 808 style Auto filter in the '80's because I though $40 was too much at the time. :lol2 I had doubles of most if the pedals at one point, and a ton of 10 series stuff, got rid of most of the 10 series and extras, except for the SD9's which I have a boner for. The 10 series Mostortion is a sleeper OD pedal, BTW.

I posted this in the MXR thread but maybe I can get some info here:

"BTW: Does anyone know if MXR made pedals for Ibanez? When I was a kid I had an Ibanez phaser (script Ibanez logo) that looked exactly like the MXR phase 90 except that it was blue instead of orange."

I'll add that I think it was modeled after a Phase 45 because the phase was pretty weak compared to the phase 90.

Yeah, $40 wasn't bad even then. The 808 AF is probably the rarest pedal from that series. I remember getting 3 or 4 bills for mine. Amazingly cool effect, the 9 series AF (which I had as well) wasn't even close. The 808 AF was scary, and WILD! I'll try to dig up a picture of it when I get home tonight.

I'll say it again.....CRAP!!!!!!!!!

I AM NOT WORTHY!!!

I was going to post a pic of my collection.....but what's the point after this shot!

Mine are (all mint shape studio gear):

AD 9 Analog Delay
AD 80 Analog Delay
AF 9 Auto Filter
CS 505 Chorus
GE 9 Graphic Equalizer
PQ 9 Parametric Equalizer
TS 9 Tube Screamer

But as a few have said....I don't use much of it, unless I'm recording. For gigging or jamming its just guitar to amp......sometimes a TS-9.

I just purchased a Tube King (US) with some extra tubes. Can't wait for it to arrive!

I've got one of the Japanese-made ones. If I understand correctly, the US-made ones don't have the noise reduction circuitry. Still, you'll have a great pedal. Hell, I never used the noise reduction anyway.

I'm getting ready to replace it with something else. There's nothing wrong with it, I've just been playing through the thing for so long, I think it's time to go for something new...

There was a old Flying Pan at a pawnshop here recently for $2000 (!)

When I bought my pedals they were all cheap, $20-30 at the most. The TS9's in the picture all cost me less than $50 each. The only one I broke down and paid more for was the 808, which was $200. I wouldn't pay the coin they are going for nowdays.

One thing with Ibanez pedals was the shitty battery clip, I bought more then a few 'broken' Ibanez pedals for nothing, only to replace the battery clip and have it work fine.

Yeah, I paid $80 total (including trades) to Atomic Music here in MD for my TS-808. I guess it was '93-'94. It didn't have the battery clip either.

I've never even thought about selling it. There is just something so friggin cool about the TS-808. I see it as "the sauce on top" type of gain pedal. It sits well in the mix with an amp that already has a fair amount of gain. Very unique and subtle.

Yeah, it goes perfectly with my Studio 15 to juice it up for creamy solos while retaining the inherent tone of the amp. :yay

Does anyone know where I can find battery covers for Ibanez pedals.I had to take the cover off my trusty TS9 sos I could put it on an AF1 I came across. The AF1 is going on Ebay. The TS9 they will have to bury me with.I need a couple of covers.I could use duct tape but its too cheesy.

I bought a couple a few years ago as spares. Just ordered them as parts through a local music store. I think they might not be available that way anymore but it doesn't hurt to ask.
