• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

I'm considering buying an Edward's 135 from a seller in another city. I want to check if the stock SD Antiquities are still in there. The seller bought it used so is not sure. Is there any way to tell if they are without taking them out? They look quite shiny for PUs that are usually reliced.

I'm not sure how to establish this without removing the pickups. It's only a question of loosening the strings, and unscrewing the surrounds in order to turn the pickups over where all will be revealed..
I don't personally think that this is a lot to ask in order to establish the pickup maker.
Keep us posted.

I went ahead and bought it. They definitely sound like Antiquities to me. I'll open it up soon to make though.
