• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

If you could only have one amp one guitar and no pedals. What is it?

That's a pretty hard combo to beat... but I'll see your '54 GT and 5e3 and raise you a Blackguard and a tweed Bassman ;) :hmm :salude

WTF!

What kinda weird hellish world are you creating here?

Why not ask 'which nut do you want removed?'

'What finger can you do without?'

'Hookers OR blow?'

'Ginger or Maryann?'

Damn...I don't want to live there. These guys...I swear...

On any given day I can make them all feel like the shit end of the stick.

On any given day, any number of combinations can make me feel like a million dollars.

I'm a musician, I don't think I'm capable of answering a simple question.

Well if I was limited to one of each I'd pick the most versatile ones I could, to do as many sounds as possible.

Probably a PRS Custom 24 (trem) and some sort of high tech modeling amp.

Bingo. We have a winner.

The most versatile rig would be the most rewarding toolset over time.

Hard to say, since I like to have as many different tones on hand as I can.
So maybe the (discontinued) Mesa Boogie Road King - 4 channels, with EL34 and 6L6 tubes already in it, all kinds of switchable options.
then for guitar What's that one with the rotating pickup mounting things? You can swing it around from Humbucker, to single coil to p90 and so on?

Can I have my AX8?

My t.v. white NR Firebird or my '59 ES 335 RI, either would do as would a couple of others. But my GAWD would that be a sad way to go. Gotta have more than one guitar. And the AX8 or FM3 with a foot controller would be enough (it is currently) for a long, long time of playing enjoyment.
