• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

I'm Excited ...

Awesome! Are you fading it out, leaving it cherry or some other combination?

Once it has been ambered, distressed, and assembled, I'll make a decision on fading. I really like the cherry, but a little fading might be in order. We'll see!

Leave it as is and let it fade naturally.

Thanks, gents. The burst color is modeled on a real '58 (8 5418; my guitar is actually an R8) as well as several other Les Paul tops that I like. It'll be somewhat darker in the reds than 8 5418, which is what I wanted. As of right now, I am leaning toward no additional fading.

I must say, they absolutely nailed the color scheme I was looking for.

I'd have posted this an hour or so ago, but I had to get a new keyboard after having a bit of an "accident" on it.

Assembled.
