A while back, I purchased a Behringer VT999 pedal and today I connected it to my Vox MV50 Clean. I wanted to see how a vacuum tube OD pedal would push a Nu Tube into distortion. I'm glad I did because I believe I found a match. It sounds fantastic. I had removed the original cheap 12AX7 for an NOS 5814A (military grade 12AU7). I am going to keep this pedal with this amp for my new rig.

That Behringer is sure at a bargain price.
With amps that I've wanted to tame down a bit I've swapped the 12AX7 to 12AY7.......never had any tube pedals to do that to though and I'm picking you have tried that swap already anyway.
Great that you've got a good new rig.

Yes sir.........I like using NOS and I installed a 5814A (military grade 12AU7) because this pedal has lots of OD/distortion to give. This pedal drives the Nu Tube in the Vox MV50 Clean into a natural sounding tube amp tone.
