• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

Is there a name for this type of wood figuring?

Hi everyone,

I’m trying to find a Les Paul with this specific figuring, and it seems difficult to find. I’m not a fan of the plain top look and I’m not a fan of the typical tiger striping, but I love this look. These pictures are of a Tokai on reverb right now, and Bonnamassa’s snakebite. Dying to find a Lester like this and don’t know how to search for it.
Thanks in advance!B17D91E9-FA60-44A1-9806-66D14F9DA799.png

That "burnt sugar" kind of finish reminds me of # 9 1970, an ex Pretenders 'Burst that belonged to Johnny Marr when I was lucky enough to get a close up look.

It changed appearance at every single angle I looked at it from.

An extraordinarily beautiful finish.
