Is this a Gibson T-Top?

Hello all,

I was wondering if any of you can shed some light on this mystery pickup I have. It appears to be a double cream Gibson T Top humbucker.

It has the Ts and the little heiroglyphics that they're supposed to have. But some things don't exactly jive with some things I've read online. First off, the color of the baseplate seems a little off compared to photos I've looked up. Also, there's no patent number sticker or stamping.

Lastly, the wiring I've seen online is the typical Gibson style braided cable. This is a multi-conductor plastic coated cable. What do you think I have?

Thanks,
Brad

Looks like the ones from a 78 KM model Standard. The base looks wacky though and all T Tops I've seen had a decal or stamped pat #. Might be someones rewind or mod of the KM pickup. By "multi conductor", do you mean two conductor hot and ground/shield, or a 4 conductor. I've never seen stock 4 conductor T Tops and most were braided wire/shield. I have seen some with the gray insulated hook up wire though.
