• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

Is your Les Paul female?

The most scientific reason for calling them female is that
a cable "plugs into" the axe. So the cables are male, guitars are female.
What could be more simple?

I have a "Betty" and "Marilyn" and "Elsie" and "Vanna".
But I also have "Woody" and "Big Red" and "Itzak" - it feels strange to say that.
None of my other guitars have names.

So cables are male then?:bug
Remember that cables have plugs on both ends. very confusing. i assume that amps are female as well for that reason.

I never name my guitars beyond the Martin, the Strat, the Tele...etc. But they're all phallic--I mean the head stock, the long neck, the body/balls. I mean, give a "Les Paul" a feminine name????? My LP is either the Paul of the Les Paul--very masculine if you ask me.

Les Pauls have bollocks, ergo male.

Keep your female names for Banjocasters...

End of!
