It's official...Luxe Radio is now a scam operation

So the announcement that they are "now shipping orders again, if you haven't received your order yet you will be soon" and the "if you can't wait email us with your order # and 'cancel/refund' in the subject line is all BS. I had some bees on order and gave them a couple months after seeing their announcement that they're shipping again. Never received them. Then sent an email asking for the status of my order. No reply. Waited a couple more weeks, then took them up on their refund offer, and sent the cancel/refund email as instructed. Couple more weeks go by, nothing. Finally just filed a CC dispute and was refunded that way.

I've placed many orders with them over the years. Can't believe they're scamming people this way

Maybe look for them on LinkedIn and see if that contact works. Maybe a post on that platform would also help.

Yeah sorry, you won't get them. I got hosed by him two years ago and waited past the time where I could dispute it.

Also more bad news, when I got my R8 earlier this year, the caps that came in it were over 20% out of spec. They were I think .027 and .029. Acoustically it sounded great so I swapped in some good caps and it was like a blanket was taken off the guitar while plugged in. It seems he's only making them for Gibson and it sending them whatever he can make whether they're good or not. Buyer beware...

Ironically, I had a pair of the first Bumblebee caps (the ceramic ones stuffed in a shell), they measured right at .022 and sound fine. I've always found the cap type differences to be really subtle, the value matters a lot more than ceramic/mylar/PIO.

I agree. I played the cap swap game and could only hear the difference in actual capacitance and not in construction. This is a very low voltage circuit. I wanted and expected to hear something remarkable but ultimately didn't.

My order from June 19th just arrived and everything is as expected. Maybe it was just luck, I don't know. I'm really sorry for y'all though, who had bad experiences with Luxe recently.
