• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

I've got some "issues".....

...Guitars, that is. (Formerly known as "used" guitars)....

'57 Les Paul Special. Stripped, bridge changed and then changed back.

"52 Les Paul. Refinished, bridge changed.

(Please ignore the '61 ES 355 with the refinished neck and changed pickups, since it's a year too new and not a LP...)

It's a beautiful Spring day here in AZ, and I was just feeling happy to have found these great old guitars that have been used and abused and altered and PLAYED for so many years....I thought I'd share....!

Anyone else with "issues" they need to share?

Great thread, but I must confess I have an even bigger issue... My guitar was not only refinished 25 years ago, but also converted from P90s to PAFs. How did they dare?!? I had to give it a home as these issues would not allow anybody else to take care of it... :)

Cool, I like an "issue" guitar, because I can play it without caring too much.
Here is mine:

Yup. Dutch's GT has caught my eye a few times. The bridge is just wacky enough to make you say "what?"

Hey Tom, you must get some "interesting" comments from the punters when you show up for gigs with that beast... :hee

Nothing here I have a problem living with. It is a '52 that had an ABR-1 and stoptail added. No neck reset but a shaved down bridge. This was a true sleeper guitar. What a gem to play and under 8 lbs.

The horse tore the gate up when he found out I put real PAF's in it.
