• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

Hi chaps, I wasn't sure if there was a dedicated 'guitars I've built' thread and as a veteran member of the UKLPF meet ups I hope this post isn't considered spam.

This is my Dakota model:

As long as you're not offerring it for sale via this post, I think you're alright.
As far as the guitar goes - 🤯🤯🤯 damn, that's sexy.

As the ex-owner of an original reverse-body Firebird III, I must say this is very pretty. Thank you for posting.

Wow that's a beauty! I love Firebirds, I love Les Pauls, and I love your merging of the two!

I follow Ivison on Instagram and their guitars look pretty cool. Do you happen to know whether the Dakota has a one piece body? Or is the raised center section separate from the "wings," like on a firebird? I suspect it's one piece, and just has the raised section to evoke the Firebird (although those were neck-through construction, and I suspect this is conventional tenon construction).

Recently got my DakotaVII delivered. It's fantastic, the middle p.up blends into the neck or bridge, to give more tonal variety. It can also be toggled on it own. It's rather taken over from my reissue 57 CS Les Paul as No1 .....it feels just like the LP when playing.....very similar neck, but the sound is easier to control through my 57 Reissue Custom Deluxe. I've got my toys and In loving them.....but thinking about selling the LesPaul now
