• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

I've been fortunate enough to photograph Joe many times over the past 4 years and wanted to share a few photos of him and his guitars.

Thanks for checking these out. As a concert photographer, I'm pretty disappointed I won't get to photograph him this year, but hoping for the best for 2021.

Thanks! I'm happy that you like them. I used a Canon 5DM3 with a Sigma 150-600mm for these. Typically we can only shoot him from the sides or back of the venue to not obstruct the view of others. My main set up is a Sony a7III with 24-70 and 70-200 lenses and a Leica SL with a 24-90 lens.

What ISO or other settings do you use to get that kind of low light resolution? I'd like to play around more with my Alpha but haven't figured out how to do this, even with good low f lenses.

Generally I'm at f/2.8, 1/250 or 320, and ISO around 2500.
For these photos I was using the Sigma at 600mm at f/6.3, 1/125-160, and ISO 5000. I had to adjust accordingly because that lens is a variable f stop.

Feel free to reach out anytime with any photo questions. I'm happy to help

Very nice pics!! When I saw him at Red Rocks, that three pickup BBs tone was EXCELLENT!! And as usual, JBs performance was superb, along with the bands!!
