• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

Thanks Todd, and since you had to go and bring it up.... ya need to post a pick of that beauty!!!!! cause I'd almost forgotten about it. please

The "Keith Burst" as I came to call it or "Keith Historic".
Was a Custom order back in 04' Originally I wanted a top that looked like one of Tom's Burst. Sandy if I remember right.
I wanted a Teaburst Bigby BRW and I wanted a Murphy.
I got everything I wanted including the BRW. But the Top....
When it came it looked less like Sandy and more like The Keith Burst.
So to this day it's the only Murphy Big factory (no tail piece holes) so far.

But now if you count Joe's new CC well....:ganz:ganz

Here you go... Old Pic but she looks the same.

So are they making an Aged run of CC#3?
Or just Gloss Or???

The Truth is that the VOS finish on th prototype is about how the original guitar is in person.. 0-0137 is very clean and a solid 9/10 with only a few weather checks. The CC#3 prototype and the original are scary close in appearance. Im ready for CC#4 after spending a few days with 9-1228... Aka Sandy... That will be wicked!! :dude:

Joe, thanks for clarifying. I was wrong, since I was told they were gloss with light aging, but since you had the prototype in your hands, you would obviously know the real story! The Gibson website doesn't say VOS, gloss, aged -- nothing!

Sorry for the misinformation, Todd. :2zone

The one on laying down on the bench is the original.. They did a great job on the prototype, completely nailed it and even got the mystery factory bigsby bridge plate done very accurate. 10 out of 10 ... The are calling it "The Babe" I didn't have much to do with it and lucked into owning the guitar that is CC#3 so I feel unfairly skipped ahead of the line in this series. but the guitar I played at Wildwood Guitars was stellar..

I was in Wildwood the day after... That was quite a display of cool bursts they still had on the wall. Very nice replica project. Great playing guitars.
