I just watched the DVD. On a few songs he plays what looks like a '60 tomato soup Les Paul Model. Kind of hard to see any details but it looked to me like the guitar had some checking. Wondering if it's the real thing, anybody know? Hadn't seen him with one of those before and it doesn't figure in the "guitar room tour" that's also on the DVD.
Cheers all!

Its a Historic
You sure? Has a lot of checking, the pickup covers don't look like those awful new ones that Gibson has, inlays look old too.. I'll have to check my BluRay disc again.

VG had a Beck article an issue or 2 ago that had a lot of info on the DVD including his gear. Its one of two R8's built for Mark Knopfler, who chose to keep the other less flamey one. It has a push/pull switch that coil cuts the bridge pckup like the Page #1 signature model. The neck is a slimmer '59 profile.
