+1....too nad the mix was heavy on the acoustic and he didn;t come through as loud as I would have liked....but he is amazing. I will try to post later today a fishing tune he has on a friend of mine's latest CD....awesome picking

Thanks Togar - great clip. Is that a deluxe with p/u ring extenders.? Twice Jerry went for the volume and it seemed not to help, he knew the mix needed adjustment. Fantastic phrasing - at times sounds like a pedal steel.

That was great! Jerry has always been one of my favorites. I love that Ampeg/Echoplex setup, too.

Torger, thank you for this video. Great picking. :applaude

And the dude hosting the show (blonde pompadour, sequined jacket, called Jerry Reed "Jerry Lewis") is a hoot.

None other than the one and only Porter Wagoner!! I can remember watching him as a kid and being really impressed with the great pickers. Another show of that same era to watch for is the Wilburn Brothers ... they had all the great pickers on their variety show that started in 1963. I remember Teddy and Doyle Wilburn introducing 'Little' Loretta Lynn.

Nice clip! First I've seen of him jammin' as opposed to "gear jammin'"! Cool.

Jerry Reed with a `72 tobacco burst?

Allways loved his picking and this clip also got some nice up close shots of the Les Paul. Cool.

Happy holiday, trgr
I'm glad I saw this cause I'm going to go hunting for more. Back when I was 6 or 7, my grandparents got me an 8 track tape player. I remember this vividly, even where we set it up at their house before we came back to ours. I got three 8 tracks with it and one was a Jerry Reed one. I think the song US male I played 500 times.
