• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

The bass player in my band brought his jtm 45 to rehearsals last night for me to try. Oh my! I had the channels linked, lead channel full and normal channel at 12 o'clock. I had prescience at 11 o'clock and the others between 3 and 4 o'clock. It sounded awesome!!!!! Front pup with the tone rolled off gave great woman tone and then a quick change to the bridge pup with tone on 10 and it ripped!

Any other jtm 45 RI users here?

Hi!

Yes, we (the other guitar-player and me) used them for years in my former band - never had a single problem and always got compliments on our sound at gigs!

Wouldn´t mind owning one again - but they sure got expensive recently...
Come to think of it, - I paid $250 used for mine in ´97 or so (yes, I know that was a steal...) ...

cheers - 68.

It is my avatar and was my #1 with a 1960TV loaded with G12H30 Anniversary's when I gigged in the 2003 through 2007 timeframe. I had Paul Ruby gut mine and PTP it with Marstran OT and PT, loaded it with GEC KT66's and Mullard GZ34 and ECC83's and it sounded great for classic rock. Main guitar was an SG or LP but V on occasion also. They are excellent pedal platforms, set clean just at the onset of grind if you dig in with your pick. Perfect for our cover band and great for everything rock except for serious detuned or super overdriven stuff IMHO. It was loud enough for the pool hall/beer clubs that were around 2,000 to 3,000 sqft and wouldn't piss off the patrons or owner.

Not Marshall, but I have a Ceritone JTM45 with 6L6s that I've had for a few years. Honestly, its a great *clean* amp: just wish I had more use for it these days.
