Junior wiring help.

I installed a lollar P90 in my 2000 junior,the vol pot had already been replaced,I changed the tone pot and replaced the cap with a repro bumblebee 0.22.I wired it in the modern wiring config.The guitar sounds amazing at tone 10 and volume 10,but the tone is only responsive 1-4 (5-10)not much change and the volume is only responsive 6-10(very quiet 1-5)so what's up,is the cap or the wiring config. the problem.
