• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

It will be interesting to see what it brings given it's condition.

Auctions seem to get exactly what the guitars are worth. Perhaps even less than retail from what I see.

Anyone know the estimate? The other vintage guitars in the auction seem to have low estimates.

Refret -20%, grovered -15%, partial refinish -10% Holes for bigsby - 10%. Topwrapped due to steep neck angle? Looking more and more like a turd. Sorry James.

Michael Watts 91865 - I know I can’t play ‘that well’ but umm, I’ll let this video do the talking……
Well, it would have be nice to hear some more basic, clean playing. And more time w/o pedals. I didn't get much of a feel for what the individual pickup sounds were like. From what I heard, I got the impression that it was a rather bright sound coming from the neck pickup. But some of that may be coming from the player's technique. But no matter really...I won't be bidding, lol.

Yeah wtf. “We got this (ok I know, flawed) holy grail guitar, a choice valve amplifier, and NOW LETS PLAY THAT THROUGH A TON OF PEDALS TO GET A GOOD REPRESENTATION ON HOW THIS SOUNDS”. 🙄

Switch is obviously backwards. Funny how they didn't even notice it. "Jazz on the bridge pickup of a Les Paul", not really.

top wrapping is a "modification"? We can clearly see the neck angle is fine. Top wrapping is a preference. Joe B only top wraps.

Refret on a 60-year-old is a non issue
