Yea, they count. Then I have an excuse to post pictures of both my 2003s. Here's my R8 and R9.

I like my 2003s a lot, but I do think butterscotch made a great point in his thread. A friend of mine got a 2003 R8 and there was a ding in the top. When he got it he called me, and felt he was being too picky sending it back. I told him that a $3000 guitar ought to be perfect, and there was no reason to feel bad. The dealer took care of him right away, and everything turned out great in the end.

Yup! I'm lovin mine. When they announced no more brazilian, I snagged one out of MM. I haven't seen anything unacceptable as far as quality. I've seen a few I wouldn't want for myself, but none that I would consider not worth what they cost.
