• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

I am glad I stayed lefty. i used to be able to play upside down too. I hate the way righty guitar controls get in my way, so lefty guitars are a natural for me. Besides, I've always been a Beatles freak. When I realized that Paul was a lefty--I was 12--I was so happy to be a lefty. It's like when I had to start wearing glasses. I didn't care because Elton was huge then, and he wore glasses.

My gal has a few lefty Lesters, and digs Albert King as well...

Here‘s a couple Signature T’s! Very nice Les Pauls that fly under the radar. Added pickup covers and replaced the robo tuners. Not sure why the pic rotated!

John Vasco, you probably don't remember me, but when I was more active here, we talked a bit about lefties, and I always loved the pics of your gear. Beautiful axes. I love the one in the first pic--Is that a refinished faded?

I remember you, WIllie.

The one in the first pic is not a refin. Nothing changed on it at all. Locking tuners and locking bridge and tailpiece. Bourn pots. Neutrik jack socket. Asymetrical neck (superb!). Only things I've done to it is set the pickup heights and polepiece to my choice, and set the bridge and tailpiece heights to my preferred choice also. That and the '91 Custom are my two regular gigging guitars into an Albion Gulfstream15 20w amp. Only pedal I use is a small volume boost for solos. I set the pre-amp control on the amp to where it is just about to break up, then when I kick in that pedal, it cuts through just fine. My Mesa Boogie F-50 now sits at home all forlorn...

The Albions look interesting. Thanks for the heads up.

May I ask what your GF does for a living? I was going to say "it looks like she loves amps more than guitars".....until I scrolled down lol. Wow!

Oooh, have fun! Hope you love it. Got one of these... still GASing for a R4 Custom with the stapler pup.

Stupid questions but........................on right hand models the volume control works clockwise to turn the volume up. Should it be anti-clockwise on a lefty or is it just something that's not noticed ?

at least during the HJ era, they just used the same pots in the USA line as righty. Don't know how the JC era does it...

I've heard you can spec otherwise in via Custom Shop, but Reissue guitars typically were righty pots too, because that's how it was, historically.
