• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

Lets see some group shots!

RB,

You may live south of the equator, but you and I are kindred spirits. A two humbuckered Paul, a P-90 Wrap around, and a maple strat. Precisely what I am aiming for. I've got two out of three. :)

That is the PERFECT mix of guitars. No need for more. (my opinion only)

(Im spoiled rotten on high end LPs, so I can't settle for anything less than an incredible maple strat. So much so, that I have been Fenderless for 5 years because the good ones are out of budget. :) :) :) )

Haha yes indeed, we have very similar tastes :salude

I hadn't owned a strat in years when out of the blue a mate contacts me to say he's selling off some of his strats, including a real '55 (which I have to say was one of the sweetest sounding guitars I've ever heard), but these masterbuilt 54's are pretty special for a new guitar... I couldn't refuse it, Ash body and maple neck is where its at as far as I'm concerned.
Give me a choice of any two solid body guitars and it would be a P90 LP and a maple neck strat anyday. :jim

That New Goldie of yours is soooooo sweet looking.

How does the neck feel on your 54 LP compared to Historics you have owned?

Thanks mate, it's the perfect neck in shape and thickness, very rounded "C" that fits like a glove, so easy to play. It's set up with a low action and it has small frets, it has more in common with my strat than my R0... I've not yet played an Historic with a neck anything like it.
