• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

Let's see those Studios!

On Monday, I got home from work. My wife said "Hey honey, can you grab the vacuum cleaner out of the front closet for me?"

When I opened the closet door, this was sitting there waiting for me. Apparently she'd been saving up money, and hated
seeing me play ultra-cheap Epiphone "Les Paul"s with bolt-on necks made in Korea.

So, she went down to Guitar Center, laid down cash, and got a GREAT deal on an '03 Studio that had sat there for
months because nobody else wanted a plain black guitar. I love it.

More pictures here.

Wow. If nothing else in this life, you've found a real woman.

Uh, no.

Mahogany body with Maple top, with Mahogany necks.

Was there a special alder run at some time? I could swear I heard of such a studio. Maybe I confused it with something else. It would be a very cool sounding guitar though.

Not sure about earlier models.

The 2003/2004 Studios are as described above.

No, I actually picked that one up about 8 months before I was stationed in VA, and met you guys at Action. I remember that one you guys had in there. I love that Gem. Super resonant!! Thanks for the compliments on the Pro!! That's my #1 guitar.

Beautiful Studios fellas. Does anyone have any sound clips of them? Also, how would you describe your sound different from the normal LP's....especially the P90 ones?
Keep the pics coming...beautiful guitars!

no pictures, but I love my new LP Studio

I just picked it up new last weekend when I traded in a G&L ASAT that I just couldn't play comfortably anymore. I had 3 Studios to choose from, and the wine red and gold one just felt and sounded the best. I actually like the simplicity of it and prefer not to have any binding on the neck, so I'm a happy camper. I love seeing that wood grain all the way around on the wine red models, but the ebony and white ones look very cool as well, and I've always liked goldtops and copper tops. Hmmmm, I might have to pick up a used one someday.

Yours has so much better flame than mine.

I still think that one's killer.I actually didn't know a damn thing about LPs, except I wanted one and could only afford $1200.I was looking at the blue-teal flip-flop, then the guy showed me the Desert burst which just arrived that day.Gave it to me for $1400 because I was broke. And that was my first LP purchase. It was actually, the first desert burst I saw, and they received. It was brand new.

But man, I dig yours too. It's not totally plain like some I've seen, but it isn't flamed too much or too little.I like it a lot.:dude
