• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

Let's see those Studios!

Seeing all these new Les Pauls lately makes me want to upgrade. So I thought maybe if I saw all the other Studio brothers out there I wouldn't feel so bad. I need some help with this bad gas I'm feeling, so show me those beautiful Studios.:dude

Here's mine:

Hope this helps...;)

On Monday, I got home from work. My wife said "Hey honey, can you grab the vacuum cleaner out of the front closet for me?"

When I opened the closet door, this was sitting there waiting for me. Apparently she'd been saving up money, and hated
seeing me play ultra-cheap Epiphone "Les Paul"s with bolt-on necks made in Korea.

So, she went down to Guitar Center, laid down cash, and got a GREAT deal on an '03 Studio that had sat there for
months because nobody else wanted a plain black guitar. I love it.

Couldn't she have cleaned up the closet first?:lol2

We're renovating. :)

Plus, she'd apparently gotten home from GC about five minutes before I drove up.

nice pics guys

Studios are sweet ass guitars.

I had one for about a week then sent it back because I was able to get a custom. If I could have affoarded to, I would have kept it. It was black and sounded great. I really liked it - someday I may get another one. Those platinum/pewter ones are really cool looking, IMO. Copper top -yours is really cool looking - hang on to that badboy.

I really like this guitar, it feels great. Bought it as a fixer-up-to-resell, but liked it so much I kept it.

The top on this is hard to photograph, it looks MUCH better in person. A nice grain shows thru the finish. I see these on eBay every now and then, most sellers don't seem to know that they are the "Lite" series. I got mine cheap due to a broken neck but it's been fixed and plays great.

Ouch, man, that hurts :dead:
My wife (well, girlfriend for 13 years, so that's the same) just left me 3 weeks ago and left me with a half-empty house and 3 axes, with the LP I got 2 months ago still to be paid :eek :eek :eek

She's ran off with her boss (ouch!!!!) who happens to be my dentist for crying out loud (ouch some more), and..here we go...cliche time...she "had to choose for her own happiness"....whatever the f..k that means...oh yeah she did say she wanted ME to be happy as well....
When I asked her "then why do you leave?" she just sat there with stone cold eyes and the greatest distance we've ever been.....yeah dude, better hang on to your woman, especially if she got you a real Les Paul, dude.

Buy her a bunch of flowers and thank her on yer knees, laddy.

And yeah, people who re-read my previous posts can slap some of my own quotes in my face with regards to my personal life ehehe.....guess I finally got what I deserved, right?

Gotta tell you, it hurts like hell, though......I've went up the blues-experience ladder ten steps in three weeks :hippy

I guess I can write this wooden shoes blues song pretty soon ;)

Anyway, congrats on your great guitar and even greater wife :dude :dude :dude

There are several bright sides to this story.

1. No monthly checks to ex
2. House half empty (hopefully she took that amoire and now you have room for that 57" HDTV). You can store the lawn equpiment inside now if you want.
3. You are now officially licensed to grow a mullet and get a Harley.
4. 2 A.M. guitar
5. Disgusting beards

The list goes on and on!

Sorry to make light of your story. Hope you get to feeling better soon.

Thanks for the compliments, I'll be keeping my Studio for the forseeable future.:dude

A gesture of love that includes the giving of a guitar - mrbill, that story nearly brought tears to my eyes. I think we all can learn a lesson from this: if you're going to give, give Gibson... or sex.

And pletje, none of us are an exception to shitty times in life, but it still sucks when you gotta go through it (even if it was coming.)

Yep, only with chrome instead of gold hardware. All solid black on the sides and back.
