Hi: I have a 1997 gibson les paul that was sitting a while, when I went to play it, the output fron the pickups was very low, the output seems to be the same on all 3 pickup selections,
had to crank the amp up to hear it well. the selector switch works in all 3 positions, both volume pots work, when placed in the middle position, each one of the volume controls turns the volume all the way off on the other pickup, when turned down to zero, but
both tone pots do nothing, when turned all the way up or down. Does anyone know what this could be.= causing very low output from the pickups and both tone pots doing absolutely nothing. I tried getting an ohms output reading from the pickups, but nothing showed up on the meter, it is that low???
Thank you for your help

Perhaps a couple shots of tuner cleaner? Try spraying some on the input jack contacts, the toggle switch contacts and all the pots. You said the guitar has been sitting a while so maybe it's just a bit of gunk that's putting a damper on the festivities. Could be a cheap solution!
