No pointers, 1st fret side dot marker, nash bridge. Decal LP`s nash.
Hey guitplayer, I did my homework! I've made some research on Reverb/Ebay, and I've seen A TON of LP Deluxes and Standards from 1975 and 1976. So hear this: I've seen a lot of Deluxes with pointers and big side dots (Kalamazoo specs), and all of them had a dot on the 1st fret! All Standards had "no dot" in the 1st fret, though. About the bridge, I've seen Kalamazoo Standards and Deluxes with Nashville bridge too (they had big dots and thumb bleeders too). So here's what I think: all Deluxes came with a dot in the 1st fret in 75-76, either Kalamazoo and/or Nashville ones. Only Kalamazoo made guitars had pointers/thumb bleeders. Both Kalamazoo and Nashville used Nashville bridges. All of them came with decal s/n, both Kalamazoo and Nashville. Does it make sense?

Deluxes and Customs from this time are different animals as far as that
goes. Customs were still made at Kazoo after the move...briefly.
Some customs in to 75 and very early 76 still have mahog necks and ABR style bridge.
No decal. Numbers still impressed.
Of course there are exceptions to every rule. Especially Gibson at this time.
But no pointers , 1st fret side dot marker(Deluxe and Standard only) and a Nashville bridge are Nash made.
This 74/75 custom has side dot markers on both sides. top.JPG

Looks like a Kalamazoo guitar to me.
They were probably modifying LH fingerboards for use on RH guitars. Getting rid of inventory before moving the Custom to Nashville. It's cheap and easy before the fingerboard is glued on the neck. Much better than scrapping the fingerboard.

Were all 20th Anniversary Les Paul customs produced in Kalamazoo? Even the few ones from 1975?
There is one on sale with a decal serial number, but the decal has a different font than the decals of the deluxes/standards that i've seen. I assume its original.
