• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

And some super cool microphones! :wow

Not to get too off topic, but I just took a nice photo of them all.

Very cool photo! I just shared it with my German buddy, Bernard ... always next to my booth at guitar shows, with many German mics.

Ha. I have a few 57s, but thought it would be funny to only have one in the photo. I use them mostly for hammering the dowels into the mic locker.

what's going on with those 421's? It looks like you have gaffer tape around the grills.

:bigal You're supposed to use an EV 664 for that. They don't call them "Buchanan Hammer" for nothing! But I don't even see one in your pic. :bigal :rofl :rofl :rofl

Nope. Just your standard 421-IIs. I never use them. They're here for people who think that they sound good on toms or whatever. They sound acceptable on toms, but the cymbal leakage sounds like ass. Much prefer D19s, C37-As or the M88s.

Is that cool stereo mic below the D 12 a Sennheiser MDS 1 or the Grundig equivalent?
I had one of those a million years ago.

Yeti, you nailed it. It's basically a stereo 409.

Tom, that thing is awesome!
