So... I realize as I write this that it's a fast-breaking "story" and all but lemme get this straight:
Obama calls McCain and (after he returns his call six hours later) they are said to come to an agreement about issuing a joint statement concerning the financial crisis and the need to solve it. Minutes later, apparently, McCain issues a solo statement that he's asking the Presidential Debate Commission to postpone the Friday debate on "foreign policy issues", that he's "suspending his campaign's activities" (how'd that work out on 9-11?) and returning to D.C. to ask the President to call for a bipartisan Economic Summit meeting...
Is this before or after the President (who doesn't have the authority) fires the SEC chairman? Before the sound fundamentals of the economy are in crisis? Before or after Ms. Palin shakes a few hands over near the U.N.?
