• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

I really like this one...But is that an acceptable gap in the Pick guard?

That's a new one.

If you don't like the gap, flip the guard over and adjust the bracket.

No, I don't like the gap. However, true, if its properly cut right should slide over. You think a guitar of this caliber the pick guard would be adjusted properly from the Custom Shop. Can't be in that big a hurry? Really like the grain figuring the back of #3.

Btw, I think this run is awesome and from what i've seen so far the Maple and Mahogany are first class. Wildwood had a VOS posted Thursday gone in one day. Shoulda got pics of that one. Very nice

Looks like a nice run , Did you notice the size @ the 1st fret on this 1 ? .840"

I don't recall seeing a 59 ri that thin .... Perfect size , if I were looking . That's R0 territory .

Only that Aged neck makes them no go for me .

My McCready has a smallish neck, but not sure on the dims as I bought it before the store could give any specs, and I didn't ask. Although I prefer .90 at minimum on my necks, I'm okay with the one I received. I actually thought I might buy VOS since the aged neck is pretty thrashed, but it's really not all that bad. I bought mine to play too.

I agree..Think this is going to be a super nice run. Wildwood posted an amazing, aged non-signed, example Thursday night..Book matched, semi-flamy Eastern Maple top, Beautifully figured Mahogany back. The Starting price wasn't that bad. I do realize this is not a True Historic but dang from the looks I had no reservations. If I could've bought that night I would have. They sold this on the next morning, Dang!!

Kinda makes sense that the McCready neck is on the slimmer side since primarily he's Strat man. There are two versions Jam.. VOS and Aged but you'd probably want the A/S Versh if you're a buyer?

I bought the straight-up aged one. It has an excellent top (see below), plays great, and is super resonant. For my tastes/needs, there is nothing gained by having the TH version with a signature. I can understand why others might want that version. I was told Mike played and approved mine.

Someone mentioned these are not TH specs? I thought all the high end limited artist runs were top of the line spec?

also, anyone have any idea what the original weighs? These seem to be a bit heavier (Ie around 9lbs) compared to some of the more recent runs?

Signed version is TH spec. All else is standard historic spec?
